Application Steps & Best Practices

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure the substrate is clean, dry, and structurally sound. Remove dust, oil, or weak layers; roughen smooth surfaces.
2. Mixing: Add clean water to a mixing container, slowly incorporate Tilofix powder, mix with a low-speed drill (< 500 rpm), allow 2–3 min maturation, remix briefly for a creamy consistency.
3. Tiling: Apply adhesive with a notched trowel; ensure 100% coverage on tile backs. Press tiles firmly into freshly applied adhesive to secure full bonding.
4. Touch-ups: Remove any skin formation from surface immediately and reapply fresh adhesive layer. Adjust tile position if needed. Clean surplus adhesive before it dries.
5. Grouting: After the required curing period, proceed with tile grouting.
6. For Large Tiles (> 900 cm²): Use a buttering technique on tile backs for improved adhesion.
7. Tool Cleanup: Wash tools immediately with water. Hardened cementitious residue must be removed mechanically.
