Application Guidelines

• Ensure the substrate is stable, clean, dry, and free from contaminants like oil, dust, or old coatings.
• For non-porous surfaces (e.g., metals, plastics), use Sika® Aktivator-205, allowing a flash-off time of at least 15 minutes.
• For porous substrates (e.g., cement, brick), apply a bituminous primer first, with at least 1 hour of flash-off time.
• Cut the tape to size, remove the release liner, and apply using a pressure roller; ensure sufficient adhesion by pressing firmly.
• Implement a minimum of 5 cm overlap for joints; heating the tape during application improves adhesion.
• Overpainting is permitted, except with solvent-based paints. Avoid use on natural stone or submerged/water-pressured joints.
